A world of longing, tides and quiet transformation.

About
Storm & Lilies is my corner of the internet —
a place where I share the worlds I write, the storms I weather, and the lilies that still bloom after everything.
I introduce you to THE LILIES SAGA— a collection of stories set in the same universe,
where familiar faces return in new ways
and characters you meet in one book may one day
step forward to tell their own.
Salt & Lilies is the first story born from this world - a complete novel on its own. It also opens the door to the larger tapestry:
interwoven lives, echoes of past choices,
and the quiet transformations that shape every character.
This space isn’t just for my books —
it’s also for the thoughts behind them, the process, the doubts,
the breakthroughs, the lessons I learn along the way,
and all the pieces of life that find their way into my writing.

If you’re reading this, welcome.
I hope something here stays with you long after you leave.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Gabrielle Dumrique is a Filipino-Canadian writer based in Vancouver, Canada. She sketches and paints, but she has always been a storyteller at heart. Since childhood, her first access to stories came from old encyclopedias, tattered pocketbooks, and classic children’s books — featuring the poem Wynken, Blynken, and Nod by Eugene Field.
She grew up reading old Grimm Brothers tales, Disney VHS tapes rewound until they blurred, and eventually pocketbook romances. In metaphors and imagery, she found her earliest inspiration.
As an adult, Gabrielle writes the kind of stories that linger in your mind long after you close the book. Each story is an invitation to her quiet world — a journey through character-driven emotion, soft longing, and the subtle magic between two people. She believes in the beauty of visual storytelling: the moment you fall in love with a character just as she did while writing them.
Her characters come from dreams, experiences, and pieces of her soul.
